Limelight Hydrangeas in a Blue Mason Jar

“Limelight Hydrangeas in a Blue Mason Jar” oil on panel 5" x 5"

As summer closes to an end I have to reflect on how time passes so quickly. It seems like yesterday that I painted this series of watermelon, cherries and my backyard Limelight Hydrangeas. I do love the fresh color this plant produces in it's bloom.

My still life paintings are normally consist of multiple things (usually odd numbers) that I love. And then I set up multiple canvases or panels to capture different scenes within the still life. I really love switching up and moving to a new scene on a new panel. I do not pay attention to detail as I love the impressionist style of painting. Hope you enjoy my little painting as much as I do! Have a great Monday!
